1. Introduction

Purpose: This Terms of Service Agreement (the "Agreement") governs your use of the StudyCerts website and services, including our practice tests, quizzes, study tools, and AI tutor.
Acceptance: By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Account Creation: You may create an account using your email address or Google sign-in.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Account Termination: We reserve the right to terminate your account without notice for violation of these Terms of Service or for any other reason.

Free Services: Our Free plan, sample questions, quizzes, and free sample practice test are provided as a courtesy and may be modified or discontinued at any time.
Paid Subscriptions: Paid access is sold as a subscription, billed monthly or annually. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not store your card details. Team plans are available by arrangement with our team.
Renewal and Cancellation: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; you keep access until the end of your current billing period, and no cancellation fees apply.
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days of your subscription, contact us at support@studycerts.com for a full refund. Refunds are issued to your original payment method, typically within 5–7 business days. We do not offer free trials of paid plans.
No Affiliation: StudyCerts is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any certification body or cloud provider. This includes the companies that make or administer the exams. Our practice tests are not official and are not an accurate predictor of performance on the actual exam.

AI Tutor and Recommendations: Our AI tutor and study recommendations use third-party AI services. To respond to you, these services receive your messages and relevant information about your studies, such as the question you are working on and your progress. We do not share your name or email address with them.
Accuracy: AI-generated responses can be incomplete or wrong. Verify important information against official sources.
Your Conversations: We keep your conversations so you can return to them, and so we can review and improve the quality of our answers. Do not enter sensitive personal information into the AI tutor.

Your Content: Content you submit — including ratings, reviews, question feedback, AI tutor messages, and contact-form messages — remains yours. You grant StudyCerts a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and adapt it to operate and improve our services, including correcting and improving our questions and explanations.
Ratings: Ratings are combined and may be displayed publicly in aggregate (for example, the percentage of positive ratings for an exam). Your written reviews are not published under your name without your permission.

Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to:
- Use our website for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks.
- Interfere with or disrupt our services.
- Copy, scrape, or redistribute our questions, explanations, or other content.
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

Ownership: All content on our website, including but not limited to text, questions, explanations, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of StudyCerts or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. In summary:

What We Collect: Your account details, your study activity and results, content you send us (such as AI tutor messages, ratings, and feedback), your subscription history, and information about how you use our site.
How We Use It: To provide your account and subscription, track your progress, personalize your practice, power AI features, improve our content and services, and send you account emails and, if you sign up for them, marketing emails.
Staff Access: Authorized StudyCerts staff may access your account to provide support and improve our services.
Service Providers: We share data with trusted providers only as needed to operate our services. We do not sell your personal information.
Data Security: We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the security of your data.

What It Is: We combine information about how learners use StudyCerts — such as answers, scores, pass rates, study time, and ratings — into aggregated or de-identified form that does not identify you.
How We Use It: We use aggregated data to operate and improve our services, for example to calibrate question difficulty and to show community averages on exam pages.
Reporting and Publishing: We may analyze, report on, publish, and share aggregated or de-identified data — for example, in statistics on our website, blog posts, marketing materials, research, and reports to partners and investors. We do not publish aggregated statistics in a way that is reasonably likely to identify an individual learner.

No Warranties: Our website and services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the practice test content or of AI-generated responses.

Limitation of Liability: In no event shall StudyCerts be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California.

Modifications: We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and your continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
